Welcome to NocoMath!
My name is Weston Steinberg (Coach Wes), and I bring over ten years of experience as a middle school math teacher, and an additional four years with my current role as a middle school administrator. I am passionate about education and consider myself a lifelong learner, always seeking new ways to help students succeed.
What inspired me to become a math teacher was my own 7th-grade math teacher. She saw my determination to become a better math student and took the time after school to meet with me one-on-one. Through her support, I learned that making mistakes is part of the process, and I became more confident in my abilities. She also taught me how to ask questions and advocate for my own learning—skills that have stayed with me throughout my life and teaching career.
Outside of the classroom, I coach soccer, where I deeply believe in the power of coaching—not just in sports, but in leadership and personal growth. Supporting students to reach their highest potential is at the heart of everything I do, whether on the field or in math class.
At NocoMath, my goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel safe to learn from their mistakes, grow through their experiences, and develop a confident, resilient math mindset. I believe that with the right encouragement and guidance, every student can unlock their potential and move forward successfully.
Thank you for trusting NocoMath to be part of your learning journey!
